Trade Partner Q&A

Find answers about client estimates, homeowner leads, revisions, plans, and your account.

Guided Help Desk

Ask about plans, project steps, estimates, or support. Answers come directly from the published Q&A below. This prelaunch feature does not send your question to an AI model or a third party.

Search the verified Q&A without sharing account or project details.

    Getting started

What can I do in my portal today?

Create and update client projects, upload photos, review project details, and mark projects complete or archived. You can also explore planned plans and credits, sample leads, and save a checkout review. Paid estimate generation, subscriptions, credits, and lead purchases are not live yet.

How does my primary trade affect the form?

GC accounts can use all project types. Multi-trade accounts select at least two trades their company provides and see project options for those trades. A specialty account sees its own trade scope plus shared site and access questions. Residential, Commercial, or Industrial selections tailor those questions.

What if I change from Drywall to GC?

New projects follow your updated profile trade and selected specialties. Existing projects retain the original trade scope and selected trades and remain editable, so a project already underway is not replaced by a different form.

Can Join S2E members use the software too?

Yes. Both signup pages create a Trade Partner account. Select the Join S2E checkbox to apply while positions are available, or apply from your existing workspace. Applicants appear separately in S2E’s Join S2E leads, and their projects and suggestions stay on the same account. Standard software pricing still applies; membership does not include free paid estimates, credits, or leads.

How do I keep my account information current?

Use Profile to update your name, company, phone, address, and primary trade. Review the confirmation before saving. Existing project scope is preserved when your primary trade changes.

    Estimating & adjustments

How will S2E build an estimate?

The planned workflow uses the information you enter—scope, measurements, selections, site conditions, and photos—to organize estimating inputs and calculate a preliminary estimate using the estimating engine and cost data. Paid generation is still in development; creating a project alone does not generate a completed estimate.

What should I enter before estimating?

Include the project address, quantities and units, existing conditions, materials or finish requirements, utility work, access restrictions, and clear photos. Use Not sure where available rather than guessing. Missing information can change the estimate.

Does an estimate replace my site visit or professional review?

You remain responsible for checking the scope, quantities, site conditions, local requirements, pricing, and suitability before presenting an estimate or signing a contract. Confirm uncertain items with the client and the appropriate professionals.

How many credits will my estimate use?

Planned usage ranges from 1 credit for a small single-trade estimate to 10 for a major multi-trade project. Basic blueprint analysis is planned at 5 and advanced takeoff at 15 or more, as future services. Review the required credits before approving each generation.

Can I change an estimate after it is generated?

The planned workflow supports revisions. Minor corrections do not use extra credits under the proposed credit rules. Material scope changes, added work, or premium analysis may require additional credits shown before approval. Final revision terms will be published before paid estimating launches.

What if I entered the wrong measurements?

Update the saved project with correct measurements before generating or revising the estimate. Recalculation may change costs and the credits required if it changes the scope. The previous project revision is retained.

What happens if AI generation fails?

Reserved credits are planned to be released or restored for a failed generation. A failure should not be treated as a completed estimate. Contact S2E with the project and review reference if a result is missing.

Will I be able to send an estimate to my client?

Client-facing estimate exports are part of the planned estimating workflow. Review assumptions, allowances, exclusions, prices, and your business information first. Document generation is not activated in this pre-launch portal.

    Homeowner leads

What is an S2E homeowner lead?

A future marketplace opportunity from a homeowner who requests Trade Partner outreach and provides the required sharing consent. The portal currently shows sample previews only; no real homeowner contacts are exposed.

Are leads included in my plan or AI credits?

No. Lead purchases are priced separately. Planned examples are $129 for a bathroom-remodel lead and $1,500 for a new-construction lead. Final price may vary by scope and will be shown before purchase.

What will I see before buying?

An approved project preview, relevant scope and trade match, lead age, price, and applicable shared or exclusive access terms. Personal contact information should only be revealed through the authorized paid-access workflow.

When can I contact the homeowner?

When live lead sales are available, after your payment is confirmed and contact access is granted. Use only the permitted contact details and purpose, introduce your business, and respect the homeowner’s contact preferences.

Will I be the only contractor receiving the lead?

That is not assumed. Each live listing must say whether access is shared or exclusive, any purchase limits, and what contact access includes before you buy. Those rules are still being finalized.

Does buying a lead guarantee the job?

No. The homeowner decides who to hire. Your site visit, qualifications, pricing, proposal, and agreement remain separate from the lead purchase.

What if contact information is wrong or a lead is duplicated?

The live marketplace will need an invalid-lead and duplicate-purchase review process. Final refund and reporting rules will be displayed before purchase. No live lead purchase or refund promise is created by a sample checkout.

Can I reserve one of the sample leads?

No. Samples have no homeowner or live inventory attached. Saving a sample checkout is only a review of the planned pricing layout; it does not purchase or reserve a lead.

    Plans, credits & billing

    Is project creation free?

Yes. Creating, saving, updating, completing, and archiving projects is free. Planned charges apply to selected estimating services, subscriptions, extra credits, and separate lead purchases when they launch.

What plans are planned for launch?

Starter is $0 with 3 one-time trial credits when estimating launches. Trade is $39 per month with 20 credits. Pro is $89 per month with 60 credits and up to 3 users. Business is planned later at $179 per month with 150 credits and up to 8 users. Enterprise is custom-priced.

    Do monthly credits roll over?

Included credits reset monthly under the planned rules. Annual plans are also planned to allocate credits monthly. Purchased credit packs are planned to remain available for at least 12 months, with applicable expiry shown before purchase.

Can I buy extra credits without upgrading?

Yes, when purchases launch. Planned packs are 10 credits for $25, 25 for $55, 50 for $99, and 100 for $179. You can review those selections now, but payment and credit allocation are inactive.

What happens if I cancel a subscription?

You retain access to your saved projects. Under the planned model, paid functionality ends at the end of the applicable paid period. Final cancellation, refund, and credit-expiry terms must be reviewed before subscribing.

Is a saved checkout review a purchase?

No. It is a draft with a pricing snapshot and your billing details. It does not charge you, create a subscription, allocate credits, reserve a lead, or grant contact access.

Where do I enter my card information?

Card entry is disabled until Stripe is integrated. Once live, Stripe’s secure payment form will handle payment details. Do not enter card numbers or security codes in project notes, support messages, or billing address fields.

Will every plan activate as soon as Stripe is connected?

Payment integration is one part of launch. Current policies, plan and credit fulfillment, estimate delivery, lead eligibility and contact access, and end-to-end tests also need to be ready. The portal will show which features are available.

    Records & support

    Can I delete a project?

Projects are retained. You can update, complete, or archive them instead. Earlier revisions and saved-photo history are retained for support and software improvement, subject to the Privacy Policy.

What happens when I archive or complete a project?

The record changes status and stays saved. You can still view the details; completing or archiving does not remove earlier revisions or change the original project trade.

    Who can view my projects?

Your account and authorized S2E staff can access project records for the relevant functions and support. S2E staff previews are read only. Sample lead pages do not expose another homeowner’s private project information.

How do I ask for help?

Contact S2E using the support link below. Include your account email, project or checkout-review reference, what happened, and relevant screenshots. Never send payment-card numbers or security codes.

    Still need help?

Include your account email and project or review reference. Do not include payment-card details.
