Scope 2 Estimate Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Scope 2 Estimate LLC handles personal information through the current Scope 2 Estimate website, signup forms, user portals, and owner portal. The planned estimating app is coming soon and is not covered as an active public service by this version. We will review and update this policy before launching app features that change how information is collected, used, or shared.

1 Information we collect

When you submit a Home Owner, Trade Partner, or Partner Program form, we collect the information you enter, which may include your name, contact details, business information, project description, project photos you upload, and other answers. Uploaded project photos are stored with your project and can be viewed by authorized S2E staff. If you have a portal account, we also handle account details and profile updates. Authorized S2E staff may add notes recording follow-up with a lead.

When you contact us by email, we receive your message and the contact details you provide. Please do not send payment-card numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information that is not needed for your inquiry.

The website and its hosting systems also process technical information needed to serve and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and device information, and request or security logs.

2 Website analytics and cookies

S2E uses its own website traffic tracker. It records a first-party visitor identifier, the page viewed, the referring source, a general device category, and the visit time. A first-party cookie helps recognize repeat visits. Account and security features may use essential browser storage. You can manage cookies in your browser, although blocking essential storage may affect sign-in or site functions.

S2E does not currently use advertising pixels, targeted advertising, or a separate third-party advertising analytics service.

3 How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, manage leads and accounts, provide available website and portal features, communicate about requests and service changes, measure use of the site, improve and secure the service, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. The owner portal lets authorized S2E personnel review submissions, profiles, and the history of contact notes.

We do not currently take payments or collect payment-card details through S2E. We do not currently use a separate automated marketing email service. The planned estimating app and its AI-assisted features are coming soon. Project photos can be uploaded in the Home Owner portal. AI image interpretation is not connected yet; we will update this policy before sending customer inputs or photos to an AI provider.

4 When information is shared

We make lead and account information available to authorized S2E personnel and, where a feature permits it, to the account holder or people they direct us to share it with. Providers that host the website, store its data, and support account access process information needed to operate those functions. If you email privacy@scope2estimate.com, our email provider handles that correspondence under its own terms and privacy practices.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or others, or in a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards. We do not currently sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We do not currently send customer inputs to a separate third-party AI model service through the public website.

5 Retention and security

We keep information while needed to operate accounts and respond to inquiries, maintain relevant records, resolve disputes, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. The period depends on the record and reason for keeping it. Deleting an active record may not immediately remove backup copies or a record independently controlled by another account holder. You may contact us about a particular record or request deletion.

We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards appropriate to the website and portal. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account credentials and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.

6 Your choices and rights

You can update available profile fields in your portal. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information, subject to applicable exceptions. Send requests to privacy@scope2estimate.com. We may need to verify your identity and may direct a request to the account holder that supplied your information.

7 Children and external links

The website and portal are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. Please contact us if you believe a child submitted information. Links to other websites are governed by those websites’ own policies.

8 Changes and contact

We will update this policy when the app launches or when website practices materially change. We will post a new effective date and provide additional notice or seek consent when required. The coming-soon app may require separate disclosures about estimating inputs, AI processing, mobile permissions, payments, and retention before those features are offered.
