Scope 2 Estimate Trade Partner Estimating Software Terms

These Trade Partner Estimating Software Terms apply between Scope 2 Estimate LLC (S2E) and the trade partner or business using the software. They supplement the website Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. For the Trade Partner estimating service, these service-specific terms control any conflicting description of that service.

1. Current availability and acceptance

Creating, saving, and editing project information is currently free. Paid estimate generation, checkout, automated revision requests, and automated refunds are not currently available. The paid-service provisions below apply only when S2E enables the service and you separately approve an identified order and payment. Saving a project or checking the terms box does not purchase an estimate, authorize recurring charges, or start paid estimating work.

You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for the business using your account. By affirmatively accepting these terms, you agree to the conditions governing your current use. Before a future paid order, S2E will show the applicable terms, fee, deliverables, included revision, and delivery timing for your acceptance again.

2. Estimate basis and your input responsibilities

S2E generates the estimate based on the information the Trade Partner enters into the project form and any authorized supporting photos, drawings, measurements, quantities, specifications, selections, and instructions. S2E may use AI, calculations, available pricing data, and any review expressly included in the order to organize and estimate that submitted scope. Missing or uncertain information may produce stated assumptions, allowances, exclusions, or requests for clarification. S2E does not promise that the software will discover missing work or incorrect input.

You are responsible for supplying accurate, complete, current information and for reviewing it before submission. Verify the project address, dimensions, quantities, demolition, labor conditions, material quality, access, utilities, permits, taxes, overhead, profit, and known or concealed conditions. Do not treat an unanswered question as confirmation that an item is unnecessary. Label unknown information clearly. Obtain permission to upload your client's information, plans, and photos, and do not upload unnecessary sensitive personal information.

3. Review before quoting your client

AI and pricing data can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. You must independently review every generated estimate, scope, quantity, price, assumption, allowance, and exclusion before sharing it, relying on it, or issuing a client proposal. Verify actual supplier quotes, labor rates, subcontractor quotes, availability, local requirements, and your intended markup. Unless the order expressly includes it, a licensed professional review or site inspection is not included.

An S2E output is a preliminary estimating aid, not a guaranteed construction price, code approval, engineered design, permit set, or construction instruction. S2E does not guarantee your profit, a successful bid, client approval, or the actual cost of construction. You decide the final price and work you promise to your client. A proposal you approve or send is your business's proposal; S2E does not become a party to your construction agreement.

4. S2E's role and permitted business use

Under these terms S2E provides estimating software and estimating services, not construction contracting, supervision, architectural services, engineering, inspection, or legal or tax advice. S2E does not perform or warrant your construction work, hire your subcontractors, or handle your client construction disputes. You remain responsible for licensing, insurance, safety, permits, your client contract, and changes to construction work.

You may use your project outputs in your business and share them with the client and professionals working on that project. You may not misrepresent S2E's estimate as a guaranteed price, professional certification, or S2E's agreement to perform the work. Your submitted material remains yours; S2E may process it and use necessary service providers to supply the requested service as described in the Privacy Policy. These terms do not authorize public advertising with your client's information or photos.

5. Fees, submission, and processing

A paid order will identify the project and submitted scope, the estimating service fee, any selected additions, taxes or other charges, and expected delivery. The service fee pays for generating the estimate and the included services, separately from construction costs. There is no recurring subscription under this per-estimate agreement. Any future subscription requires its own disclosed billing and cancellation terms and separate authorization.

Before payment, review and correct the project information without a generation fee. Once a paid order is accepted, its approved input and fee establish the original scope for revisions and cancellations. S2E will disclose before authorization if processing starts immediately when you approve payment and generation. No change or extra fee may be charged without your approval. Changes to the saved project alone do not revise an estimate already delivered or change an accepted paid order.

6. Adjustments after a paid estimate

S2E errors: If S2E's output incorrectly processes accurate information supplied in the accepted order, contains a calculation or software error, or omits a deliverable included in that order, contact us promptly. S2E will investigate and correct a verified error without a new estimating fee. This does not use up your included revision. An output that accurately reflects incorrect, incomplete, or later-changed input is handled as an input revision below.

Included input revision: Each paid estimate includes one consolidated revision request submitted within 14 calendar days of delivery for the same property, project type, and original scope. This may correct input, clarify quantities or measurements, or adjust selections within that scope. Send all requested changes together. S2E will confirm whether they fit the included revision and any effect on delivery before processing. This 14-day window limits the included discretionary input revision, not your rights concerning an S2E error or any remedy required by law.

Additional work: A different property or project, a substantial expansion or reduction of scope, newly added rooms or trades, materially revised plans or design, a separate design alternative, or an additional revision beyond the included request may require a new generation or separately priced revision. S2E will describe the additional work and quote its fee before you decide whether to proceed. If you decline, no additional fee is charged. There is no automatic right to unlimited regeneration or a refund simply because the desired scope changed.

A requested revision is not a construction change order. You must obtain any client approvals required under your own construction agreement. Keep the original estimate and identify revised outputs by date or version when sharing them with your client; do not describe an unreviewed draft as the approved final estimate.

7. Cancellation

Before processing starts: You may request cancellation of an accepted paid estimate. If S2E receives the request before generation or other paid estimating work starts, the estimating fee is refunded in full.

After processing starts but before delivery: S2E will make reasonable efforts to stop work. S2E may retain only a reasonable, documented amount for estimating work actually completed and direct processing costs already incurred, up to the agreed estimating fee, and will refund the unearned balance. Any cancellation deduction must have been disclosed before payment and must not include work performed after cancellation could reasonably have been implemented. S2E will explain the retained amount; no additional cancellation penalty applies. Instant generation may complete before a cancellation request can be acted on.

After delivery: Changing your mind, losing the job, the client cancelling construction, choosing a different contractor, or receiving different supplier or contractor pricing does not ordinarily qualify for an estimating-fee refund when the agreed service was delivered. The error and failed-service remedies in Section 8 still apply. Deleting or archiving a project is not a cancellation request and does not itself create a refund.

8. Refunds and service failures

If S2E cannot deliver an accepted paid estimate and you do not agree to a revised delivery arrangement, S2E will refund the fee for the undelivered estimate. If a material S2E defect makes the delivered estimate fail to meet the agreed service and S2E cannot correct it within a reasonable time, S2E will refund the fee for that affected estimate. A valid correction or retry caused by an S2E failure will not require another payment. Duplicate, unauthorized, or erroneous charges will be investigated and corrected as appropriate.

Wrong or incomplete Trade Partner input, later price changes, a scope change, or disagreement with the result is not by itself proof that S2E failed to supply the agreed service. S2E will review a specific reported problem instead of treating all AI outputs as automatically correct. Nothing in these terms removes rights or refunds required by applicable law or requires you to give up payment-provider dispute rights.

Send routine refund requests within 30 calendar days of delivery or the charge, whichever is later. This request period does not shorten a statutory right or prevent review of an error reasonably discovered later. Approved refunds return to the original payment method where possible, rather than compulsory account credit. S2E will aim to acknowledge requests within five business days and initiate approved refunds within ten business days after approval; bank or payment-provider posting times may vary. If a future purchase is billed through an app store, that store's refund process will apply where it controls the transaction; S2E will assist as appropriate.

9. Contact and records

Request a correction or revision by emailing estimates@scope2estimate.com, or request a cancellation or refund by emailing billing@scope2estimate.com with your account email, project or order number, the changes or problem, and the remedy requested. Keep a copy of the request. S2E will confirm the outcome in writing. Until dedicated in-app tools are enabled, email is the request method.

The terms version you affirmatively accept for an order governs that order. A later publication does not silently replace it. Before paid services launch, the order process will record the accepted terms version, approved project scope, fee, acceptance time, and payment confirmation. The current project form records the terms version and acknowledgment time only; it does not record a paid order.

10. Applicable law and continuing rights

Arizona law governs these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Any mandatory protections that apply to you remain in effect. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Nothing here excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or excuses S2E from the correction and refund commitments stated above.
