Guided Help Desk

Ask a Trade Partner question using published Scope2Estimate guidance. This prelaunch help searches the Q&A on this page and does not send the question to an AI model or external provider.

Search published Q&As here without supplying private account, payment, or project information.

    Is creating a project free?

Yes. Creating, saving, and updating projects is free. When paid estimating launches, credits apply to the AI estimates or premium services you choose to generate.

    Do monthly credits roll over?

Included plan credits reset each monthly billing cycle. Annual plans also allocate credits monthly. Purchased credit packs are planned to remain available for at least 12 months; the applicable expiry will be displayed before purchase.

What happens if an estimate needs changes?

Under the planned credit rules, minor estimate corrections do not use extra credits. A material change to the project scope may require additional credits, which will be shown for your approval before processing.

What if an AI generation fails?

The planned workflow releases or restores credits reserved for a failed generation. You will not lose those credits for an estimate that fails to generate.

What happens if I cancel a subscription?

You keep access to your saved project records. Paid functionality ends at the end of the applicable paid billing period. Final cancellation and refund terms will be published before paid subscriptions launch.

Can I change my primary trade?

Yes. Your current profile trade controls new project forms. Existing projects retain their original scope, so switching from Drywall to GC or Multi-trade does not change a project you are already completing.

Can I subscribe or purchase credits today?

Not yet. Registration is open, but subscriptions, credit purchases, paid estimating, and lead purchases are still in development. Register for launch information. Review our current Trade Partner estimating terms and Privacy PolicyData Processing Addendum; paid-service terms will be updated before checkout opens.

Can I join S2E and still use the Trade Partner software?

Yes. Select the Join S2E checkbox when creating your account, or apply from your existing Trade Partner workspace. Use Trade Partner Login for projects and suggestions. S2E keeps your contribution application in its Join S2E leads for separate review. Applying does not guarantee a position, ownership, free paid estimating, or lead access.

    Home Owner leads

Lead purchases are coming soon. These answers explain the planned experience; final access, cancellation, refund, and reporting rules will be shown before you can pay.

What is an S2E Home Owner lead?

A lead is a project from a Home Owner who has requested outreach from an S2E Trade Partner. The planned marketplace will let you review the available project summary before deciding whether to purchase access. A lead is an opportunity to discuss the work, not an awarded construction contract.

What if I pay for a lead and never hear from the Home Owner?

A lead purchase cannot guarantee that the Home Owner will answer or hire you. Make reasonable contact attempts using the permitted contact methods, introduce your company, and explain which project you are contacting them about. Keep a record of your attempts and contact S2E support if you cannot reach them. Nonresponse alone does not promise a refund; the final lead policy will state whether it qualifies for a review, credit, or refund and how soon you must report it before purchases go live.

What if the phone number or email is incorrect?

Report the issue to S2E support with the lead reference, purchase reference, and a brief description of the problem, such as a disconnected number or bounced email. Invalid contact information is different from someone choosing not to reply. S2E will review reported issues under the applicable lead policy; eligibility, reporting deadlines, and any refund or credit remedy will be shown before live purchases begin.

What if the lead is a duplicate, fake, or already closed?

Report a suspected duplicate, fake request, or project that was already closed when you purchased it. Include the lead references and what you learned, without sending unnecessary personal information. The final policy will explain which cases qualify for a remedy. A Home Owner deciding to stop a project after a valid purchase is a separate situation and does not automatically mean the original lead was invalid.

Is the lead exclusive, or can other Trade Partners purchase it?

Do not assume a lead is exclusive. Before purchase, the planned checkout must identify whether access is shared or exclusive and explain any buyer limit. Shared access means other Trade Partners may also contact the Home Owner. Those access rules are still being finalized; the current sample leads do not reserve a project or grant exclusivity.

Does purchasing a lead guarantee that I get the job?

No. The Home Owner chooses whom to contact and hire. Your qualifications, response, proposal, availability, and the Home Owner’s decision affect the outcome. Purchasing access does not guarantee a meeting, site visit, bid acceptance, construction contract, or revenue.

What will I see before paying, and what does the lead fee include?

The planned preview will show the available project scope, general service area, timing information, and price so you can assess the fit. Checkout must explain exactly which project and contact details the purchase unlocks and any access limits. The lead fee is separate from construction charges, your estimating subscription, and AI credits. Full private contact details are not included in the current public samples.

Are Home Owner leads included in my estimating plan or AI credits?

No. Under the planned pricing structure, lead access is purchased separately. Estimating plans and AI credits support generating estimates for your own client projects. A lead purchase does not add estimating credits or pay for the construction work. The final lead price and terms will be displayed before payment.

What if the Home Owner changes the scope, delays the project, or cancels?

Confirm the current scope, budget expectations, and timing directly with the Home Owner before spending time preparing a proposal. Plans can change after a lead is purchased. A changed scope, postponed start, cancellation, or lost bid does not guarantee a refund. Report any concern that the project was materially misrepresented at the time of purchase so S2E can review it under the final lead policy.

Can I request a refund if the lead is outside my trade or service area?

Review the available trade, location, and scope information before purchasing. If the listing materially differs from what was represented, report the mismatch with the lead reference and supporting details. Deciding afterward that a correctly described project is not a fit does not promise a refund. Eligibility and reporting deadlines will be stated in the final lead policy before checkout opens.

How should I contact the Home Owner?

When live lead access becomes available, use only the contact methods authorized for that lead. Introduce yourself and your company, mention the S2E project, and ask whether it is a good time to discuss the work. Follow their communication preferences and stop contacting them if they decline or ask you to stop. Do not add them to unrelated marketing lists or resell their contact information.

Who handles the site visit, quote, construction agreement, and payment?

You and the Home Owner arrange those directly. Confirm the site conditions and scope, provide your own proposal, and agree on scheduling and payment in your construction contract. An S2E preliminary estimate is planning information and does not replace your verification or a signed construction agreement. Buying a lead does not authorize you to begin work.

How do I ask S2E to review a lead problem?

Contact Trade Partner support with your account email, lead reference, purchase reference if available, and a concise description of the issue. Include relevant contact-attempt dates or evidence such as a bounced-email notice. Never send payment-card details. The final policy will specify reporting deadlines, review steps, and available remedies before live purchases are enabled.

Can I purchase Home Owner leads today?

Not yet. The Trade Partner portal currently shows sample lead previews and a checkout-review layout. They are not live Home Owner projects, and no payment, lead reservation, or contact access is provided. Live purchases will open only after payment processing, Home Owner sharing consent, access rules, and the lead cancellation and refund policy are ready.
